Exam pattern/ syllabus:UPPER DIVISION GRADE LIMITED DEPARTMENTAL COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION
Exam pattern:UPPER DIVISION GRADE LIMITED DEPARTMENTAL COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION
Part-1
Written examination carrying a maximum of 300 marks in the subject as shown in Para 2 below. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Written Examination (Paper-I having 200 marks with 2 hour).(Objective Type)
(a)General Awareness(100 Questions)
(b)Comprehension and writing ability of English Language(100 Questions)
Part-II(Descriptive type with 100 marks)
Evaluation of record of service of such of the candidates who attain at the written examination, minimum standard as may be fixed by the Commission in their discretion, carrying a maximum of 100 marks.Paper-II(Conventional Type) Noting, Drafting & Office Procedure)
Paper-I will be of “Objective–Multiple–Choice–Type” whereas Paper-II will be descriptive type.
Note: - There will be separate papers on Noting, Drafting and Office Procedure for candidates belonging to following two categories viz.
Category-I
(I) Central Secretariat Clerical Service.
(II) Central Vigilance Commission Clerical service,
(III) Department of Tourism (Hqrs. Estt.) Clerical Service.
(IV) Armed Forces Headquarters Clerical Service.
(V) Election Commission of India Clerical Service.
(VI) Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs Clerical Service.
Category-II
Railway Board Secretariat Clerical Service
Paper-I will be of “Objective–Multiple–Choice–Type” whereas Paper-II will be descriptive type.
