The GIC Officers Exam Pattern comprises of following stages:

Stage I: Written Examination

Candidates who have submitted duly filled applications and who fulfill all the eligibility criteria are called for the objective type written examination that comprises of the following:

• Test of Reasoning:20 marks
• English Language:20 marks
• General Awareness/Current Affairs:20 marks
• Analytical ability:20 marks
• Numerical/quantitative aptitude:20 marks
• Professional Knowledge:50 marks

Stage II: Group Discussion and Interview

Only those candidates who pass the written examination are called for the Group discussion(20 marks) and Interview. (30 marks)

Total marks:200

Minimum qualifying marks in the written test –
60% for General & OBC and 50% for SC /ST.
