Chattisgarh State -India

Chhattisgarh is India's 26th state, covers an area of 135,133 sq km. of the total geographical area of nation India and located in Center of India.

Chhattisgarh state of India came into existence on November 1, 2000. Mother tongue of Chhattisgarh is Chattisgarhi.There are 18 districts (initially there was 15 districts) in the state.

6 States of India which are bordered with Chhattisgarh state -
# Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh to the north
# Andhra Pradesh to the south.
# Orissa State to the east.
And by the Madhya Pradesh to the west.

About CGPSC, Colleges, University, Admission in Chattisgarh

Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission, i.e. CGPSC examination held by Chhattisgarh State for graduate students and gazette posts, rajya seva posts. To say CGPSC is a Constitutional Body established to conduct examinations and recruit qualified candidates for appointment to the service of Government of Chhattisgarh.

Prospective candidates of CGPSC 2011 have to be cautious to enter accurate personal details for registration. Regular updates regarding advertisements and notifications of CGPSC 2011 can be accessed by creating a registered profile on the official website. To apply for an examination a candidate must go through the registration process. The CGPSC main exam will be held after preliminary exam for CGPSC 2011.

1.Sania Mirza won her third WTA doubles title of 2011 and 12th overall after she along with her partner Yaroslava Shvedova defeated Olga Govortsova of Belarus and Alla Kudryavtseva of Russia in the final of the Citi Open
on 1 August 2011 in US.



2.India- Japan CEPA (Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement) enters into force on 1 August 2011. This is India’s 3rd Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (after Singapore and South Korea) and India’s first with a developed country.


3.Spain won the tenth edition of the UEFA European Under-19 Championship title in Romania beating the Czech Republic 3-2 on 1 August 2011. Spain become the first country to hold both u-19 and u-21 title in the same year.Paco Alcácer who came off the bench to score twice in the final 12 minutes played a significant role in helping Spain attain the title.


4.Astronomers using WISE telescope found the asteroid, named 2010TK7 which is the first known Trojan asteroid in Earth’s orbit.The asteroid is 300 meters in diameter and about 80 million kilometers from Earth.


5.26th Asian Men's Elite Boxing Championship starts in Inchio, South Korea.

The Indian squad consists qualified athletes such as Commonwealth Games bronze medalist Amandeep Singh, talented Santosh Harijan, Asian Championships silver medalist Jai Bhagwan Singh, Beijing Olympian Dinesh Kumar and Commonwealth Games winner Paramjeet Samota.

Radek Stepanek of Czech republic on 7 August 2011 defeated Gael Monfils of France 6-4, 6-4 to win the ATP(Association of Tennis Professionals) Washington Classic. With this win, Stepanek became the ATP’s oldest champion since France’s Fabrice Santoro at 35, won at Newport in 2008.

8.Lobsang Sangay was sworn in as the new Prime Minister (Kalon Tripa) of the Tibetan government-in-exile at the central courtyard of Tsuglagkhang, the main temple in Dharamshala (Himachal Pradesh) on 8 August 2011 

9. Russia defeated top-ranked Argentina to win the FIVB World junior volleyball title in Rio de Janeiro.

10. Nancy Wake:She as a spy and had gone on to become the Allies’ most decorated servicewomen for her role in the French resistance during World War II, died in London on 8 August 2011.

11.China launched its first aircraft carrier for a maiden run on 10 August 2011. China had bought the aircraft carrier from RUSSIA.

12. US credit rating was downgraded to AA+from AAA by Standard & Poor’s.

13.  In Afghanistan, a probe was launched by the ISAF, to determine the exact cause of the chopper crash which killed 30 American soldiers.full form of ISAF:
International Security Assistance Force.

14. China launched its first aircraft carrier for a maiden run on 10 August 2011. The aircraft carrier is about 300 meters long.  It will be used for training and as a model for future carriers.China bought its aircraft carrier from Russia. The aircraft was known as Varyag in Russia.

16.Google will buy cellphone maker Motorola Mobility for 12.5 billion dollars. It is  being considered one of the biggest deals in the mobile handset space. The deal will also boost Google’s competitive edge in the mobile computing arena and give it access to Motorola’s range of Android operating system based offerings.
 
17. Novak Djokovic defeated American Mardy Fish 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 to win the 
Montreal Masters on 14 August 2011 thereby winning his ninth ATP title 
of 2011. Djokovic became the first man to win five Masters 1000 titles 
in the same season having also claimed trophies at Indian Wells, Miami, 
Madrid and Rome.
 
18. In Nepal, ban on smoking in public places comes into effect from 7  
August 2011. According to the Tobacco Control and Regulatory Act-2010,  
those smoking in public places will be fined and civil servants will be 
 liable to departmental action.
 
19.Maoists Vice-Chairman Baburam Bhattarai was on 28 August 2011 
elected Nepal's 35th Prime Minister .
 
20. Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull won the Belgian Grand Prix on 
28 August 2011.
 
21.Japanese parliament voted in Yoshihiko Noda on 29 August 201 as
the nation's sixth prime minister in five years .

held at Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on 28 August 2011
